SPEARMAN, TEXAS, April 2, 2026 — Piper Pipkin, a senior at Spearman High School, has been selected as a McKnight Scholar at Oklahoma State University for fall 2026. The highly competitive scholarship waives full out-of-state tuition for four years and provides an additional $5,000 annually toward educational expenses. This program recognizes students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership throughout their high school careers.
The McKnight Scholars Leadership Program invests in strong student leaders from rural communities outside the state of Oklahoma. The scholarship covers full out-of-state tuition, offers study abroad opportunities, and provides comprehensive leadership development through courses, mentoring, and seminars.
Established by Ross and Billie McKnight in partnership with Oklahoma State University, the program is designed to help out-of-state students develop lifelong leadership skills and create lasting impacts in their communities.
Piper Pipkin has demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities and a strong commitment to her school and community. As a McKnight Scholar, she will continue to build upon these skills through advanced leadership training and academic opportunities.
