Mr. Craig Black

Welcome to Spearman Junior High School.  I am Craig Black, the junior high principal.  I have been with Spearman ISD since 2013 and have taught, coached, or been in administration since 1997.  I graduated from Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Kinesiology.  I also attended Lamar University obtaining a Master of Education Leadership.  My wife, Stacie, teaches pre-k at Gus Birdwell Elementary and we have two children.

Spearman Junior High is committed to making successful learners academically as well as socially.  Our staff takes great pride in maintaining high standards for all of our students.  Spearman Junior High has a great team culture within its staff to insure excellence for our students.  We want to celebrate many successes for our students as we see them grow and learn within our school.  We are dedicated to working with our community members to make sure that our school reaches excellence.

Spearman JH was selected as a 2021 National Blue ribbon School. Spearman JH was one of twenty-six school in Texas to be recognized.
