Kendra Ladd teaches US History at Spearman High School. She has twin daughters and is engaged to Justin. She previously taught at Pampa Middle School teaching 8th grade US History. She earned her degrees from Amarillo College and West Texas A&M University where she graduated summa cum laude. Spending time on the lake including fishing, boating, and swimming are some of her favorite hobbies. She especially enjoys spending time at her parent’s land riding horses and being with them. When there is time, binge watching Netflix is also part of what she enjoys doing. “Staying at Spearman for years to come and eventually talking someone in to letting me start a volleyball program are my goals,” chuckled Ladd. Welcome to the team and keep setting your goals high. You are a great example in always believing that you can accomplish anything.

September Employee of the Month Laura Davila is the Human Resource and Payroll Director. She has been employed by Spearman ISD for fourteen years. She is everyone’s friend at SISD! She makes sure we all get paid on time and answers all of the many questions that come her way about benefits and payroll. “Laura is very organized and is always willing to put in the extra work to get the job done.” She does this with a smile and never complains. She is my listening ear when I need to brainstorm ideas with someone,” commented Superintendent, Dan Gist. A quote we often use in the administration office is “Everyone Loves Laura!” She has earned that quote. Her positive outlook on life spreads, and Spearman ISD is better because of her. Congratulations on a well-deserved award! Keep up the amazing job you do for all of us.

Our love for the family of Yahir #22 and the community of Dalhart spreads across the campuses. We are reminded of how fortunate we are to live in a region where the district lines open, and we all come together to spread kindness to our friends in Dalhart. Thank you, Sports Zone, for making this possible with your act of kindness.
