The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Christmas store at Gus Birdwell Elementary is sponsored by volunteers of the PTO program.
Dynell Moore and her team work hard to find affordable gifts where children can purchase gifts for their family members at a low cost. The teachers and volunteers help wrap the purchased gifts for the children. This effort truly takes a village. Mrs. Moore even gets her husband involved in shopping and storing the gifts throughout the year!
Thank you to Mrs. Moore and her team for making this is a special place for the students to shop.
The Junior High will host Career Day tomorrow December 6th. If you see Apollo helicopter landing on our practice field, do not be alarmed. They are part of our Career Day.
The PTO Christmas store is underway at GBE! Our students love shopping for their families. The staff at the elementary sends a big thank you to GBE PTO and all of the parent volunteers.

Junior High All Region Band Auditions
We had a successful round of all region auditions last night. Of the 12 students we took, 5 of them made the bands, and 4 of them made the top group, the Symphonic band. Here are the final results:
Eduardo Portillo, clarinet – 14th chair Symphonic Band
Valeria Enriquez, clarinet – 17th chair Concert Band
Ricardo Penuelas, baritone – 2nd chair Symphonic Band
Alex Bonilla, percussion – 3rd chair Symphonic Band
Vladimir Caro, percussion – 7th chair Symphonic Band
The all region band clinic and concert will be January 13-14 at WTAMU.
