Amadita Vargas is the secretary at Spearman Junior High (SJH). Vargas started her career as a paraprofessional for a visually impaired student. “I learned so much from him. He had an awesome humor. I jokingly told him to not forget me when he became famous. He assured me not to worry that he would give me a job in his band!” laughed Vargas.
“I thoroughly enjoy being the secretary at SJH. I have had the opportunity to get to know the students. I enjoy watching them grow up and become successful,” stated Vargas.
Spearman ISD to blessed to have staff in the district like Amadita Vargas. There is not a day that goes by when she is not lifting the spirits of others.

National Assistant Principal week is April 4th-8th, and Spearman ISD is proud to recognize Lizet Olmos.
Lizet Olmos is the Assistant Principal at Gus Birdwell Elementary. Her experience includes classroom teacher and school counselor at Gus Birdwell Elementary.
She was raised in Spearman and attended school on all three campuses. “Aside from seeing my family happy, serving in the same school I grew up in is a proud accomplishment,” said Olmos.
She is motivated by doing her best to be a better version of herself. She shared, “I love working with our littles that I know are our future. Our future doctors, lawyers, teachers, principals are walking our hall, and I am fortunate enough to help them learn and grow.”
She loves kids, helping others, and always willing to learn. “I love the honesty of our elementary students. There is no such thing of a boring day. Our students always make you feel loved. They will let you know when you look great, but they will also tell you if you have a bad hair day!” laughed Olmos.
The next few years she plans to continue to grow and learn as a leader on the campus.
