SISD Staff Spotlight
Autumn Robison is the secretary at Gus Birdwell Elementary. She and her husband, Bryan, have four children and three grandchildren.
Robison earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico with a triple concentration in history, communication, and sociology.
Before working for SISD, she worked in the banking, insurance, and irrigation businesses. She comes to SISD with a great deal of business experience.
She was a member of the Return On Quality (ROQ) Award and a member of The Business of the Year with Basin Pump and Supply Co. 2022.
Her hobbies include freeze drying goodies, baking, jewelry making, and adventure cooking. In the future, she plans to build a legacy for her family not only in wealth but wisdom as well.

SISD Staff Spotlight
Caleb Hidalgo is a paraprofessional at Gus Birdwell Elementary (GBE). He graduated from Pratt High School in Pratt, Kansas.
His previous employment included Skyland Grain and Kroger Grocery.
Hidalgo enjoys learning languages and working with computers. He plans to get a bachelor's degree in cyber security and then study the stock market.

Spearman ISD Adult ESL classes will begin Monday, September 23rd. Classes will be held at Gus Birdwell Elementary on Mondays and Tuesdays from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm. Bring a spiral notebook and binder to class.


GBE would like to give Farm Bureau a big THANK YOU for these really neat educational boxes! They donated one to each grade, 1st - 5th. It comes with a DVD, curriculum, and items for the kids to feel each stage of cotton and learn all it’s by products, too.
It is a great way to bring AG awareness to our kids, and we are grateful!

Wishing our Spearman Jr. High and Spearman High School cross-country teams the best of luck at the XC Badger Run taking place today at Amarillo College (West Campus)!

Kari Cunnigham teaches English at Spearman High School. She previously taught at Amarillo ISD.
She holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from the University of Montana.
She enjoys refinishing furniture, drawing, Pokemon Go, reading, and insect collecting.

Aguilar is a Gruver High School graduate and substitute taught for Gruver Elementary.
Her plans include going back to college where she will earn a degree and follow the dream of being an elementary teacher.
She enjoys reading, listening to music, spending time with her daughter, and watching movies.

Sierra Bass is a paraprofessional at Gus Birdwell Elementary (GBE). She has one daughter.
Previously, Bass worked at Lowes Market, Spearman.
Bass is a Gruver High School graduate and has earned hours towards her college degree. Her plans include earning a degree in elementary education.
She enjoys crafting, being outdoors, and big animals.
