Mrs. Abercrombie's class has been hard at work in the kitchen during the month of October. Students have mastered baking cakes and making icing from scratch. On Friday, they wrapped up their October baking with a Cupcake Wars competition. Students had to create a display, pick a theme and decorate!
Congratulations to Brenlye and Ralin for winning Cupcake Wars!

Spearman ISD students recently participated in the Migrant Close Up Texas Academy in Austin, Texas. This academy brought students together for a youth-led convention where they engaged in meaningful discussions, debates, and decision-making. Guided by a student steering committee, participants presented, amended, and voted on policy proposals. The adopted proposals were included in the Youth Agenda for Action, which will be shared with key decision makers.
Spearman ISD students had the opportunity to speak in front of State Senator Sarah Eckhardt and present their policy proposals.
Spearman ISD extends a sincere thank-you to the Migrant Education Program at Region 16 for making this valuable experience possible.

Happy School Bus Safety Week!
A huge THANK YOU to our incredible bus drivers who safely transport our students to and from school every day. Your dedication, patience, and commitment to safety do not go unnoticed. We appreciate all that you do!
As we recognize this important week, here are a few crucial school bus safety tips for drivers:
🚫 Stop when the bus has its stop-arm extended—it's the law
🛑 Never pass a stopped school bus loading or unloading children
⚠️ Slow down in school zones and near bus stops
👀 Stay alert—children may cross the street unexpectedly
📵 Avoid distractions while driving, especially during pickup and drop-off times
Let’s all work together to keep our students safe on the road!
