GBE GT students had the pleasure of listening to a presentation by award-winning author, Natalie Bright. The students learned how to look at the world through a writer’s lens to find story ideas. This creative group had a lot of great ideas!

The Lynx & Lynxettes are going on an ELK HUNT as they take on Stratford tomorrow! 🐾🏹 Dress in your best camo, safety orange, and ghillie suits! Gus Birdwell Elementary is proud to announce the receipt of a grant for a brand-new sensory lab. Sensory labs provide a vital space for students to regulate their emotions, improve focus, and engage in therapeutic play that supports their unique learning needs. GBE students are incredibly fortunate to have access to both a motor lab and a sensory lab, providing them with a comprehensive environment for both physical and cognitive development.

🏀 This week’s jr. high tournament will now be a one-day tournament on Thursday, January 29. An updated schedule will be sent as soon as possible 📅.

⛹️‍♂️ This Friday’s basketball games vs. Stratford have been moved to Thursday at the same times.

🏊‍♀️ The district swim meet has also been moved from Friday to Thursday in Lubbock.
